Job Overview
Complete assembly operation of Aerospace components. An assembler will follow current Work Instructions to complete the required operations in accordance with associated engineering specifications as defined.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Prepare parts and complete assembly operations per defined work instructions
· Drill, Ream and C’Sink holes to size within .001 tolerance.
· Use Hydraulic press to install components such as bushings and bearings.
· Install, rivets, nut plates, seals bolts and other common hardware.
· Use precision gages such as calipers, micrometers, OHM meters and other measurement instruments.
· Applies adhesives, nut plates, fasteners, bearings etc.
· Part mark finished parts in accordance with work instructions
· Follow predetermined sequence of operations exactly as defined
· Keep work area free of FOD and neatly organized
· Provide suggestions for improvements to increase productivity, improve quality and reduce costs
· Notify supervisor when any supplies are running low
· Other duties as required
Qualifications
· High School Graduate or equivalent.
· Prior experience in assembly of products. Prior Aerospace assembly experience a plus.
· Prior experience in automotive or aviation maintenance and repair experience a plus.
· Ability to work with power hand tools, attention to fine details painting or sealing of products, ability to read English and follow detailed sequential work instruction.
· Must work well in team environment and keep work area clean.
· Certified in related Aerospace assembly functions a plus.
· Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. and stand 8 -1 0 hours per day at work area.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
