What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Cascade Foot Clinic?
A Medical Assistant is directly involved with patient care here at Cascade Foot Clinic, which has been serving the Central Oregon area for over 41 years. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Tracking which rooms are occupied and/or empty, preparing the rooms and necessary materials, and then escorting patients back to the appropriate rooms
- Aiding patients with taking off and putting on socks and shoes, bandaging patient’s feet, physical therapy exercises, and trimming nails.
- Explaining aftercare instructions for procedures
- Maintaining office cleanliness which includes but is not limited to (1) taking out the trash; (2) sweeping and/or mopping; (3) sanitizing/wiping down patient rooms; and (4) putting away inventory items like bandages, gauze pads, injection materials, etc.;
- Assisting Dr. Su and our Head Nurse as necessary, including helping with injections and procedures
- Scribing when our primary scribe is not available
While medical students or any candidate with pre-nursing, PA, MD, DO, or PT experience is preferred, we will also provide on-the-job training for entry-level candidates. You may also request a part- or full-time position.
