Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Safety Instructor to join our team to teach forklift, MEWP, Lock-Out Tag Out and Fall Protection courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a heavy machinery background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching. As a Safety Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality safety training courses to a diverse audience, ensuring that all participants leave with a thorough understanding of safety protocols and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and informative safety training sessions for various industries, from construction to healthcare.
• Develop and update training materials to ensure they are current and relevant.
• Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of training sessions and participant progress.
• Provide mentorship and support to trainees, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in safety training or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of participants.
• Certification in safety training (e.g., OSHA, CPR, First Aid) is preferred.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to safety.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Occasional weekends and evenings may be required

Experience:

• Safety Training: 2 years (Preferred)
• Public Speaking: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• OSHA Certification (Required)
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)

Work Location:

• Multiple locations in the Greater Portland area as well as travel throughout the PNW.
