The Difference Between Living and Living Well…
The Regional Wellness Director RN oversees everything nursing in a region of communities ranging in size in assisted living and memory care. You'll also be expected to participate in company initiatives, regulatory compliance and contribute to the overall culture of shared accountability.
What Cascade Living looks for in a Regional Wellness Director RN:
- Travel to assigned communities, company meetings and networking functions as needed, may include air travel and overnight stays
- Be highly visible to the customer and to associates
- Assist to recruit and hire wellness directors as needed for communities
- Responsible for the performance management of all wellness department associates including timely and effective coaching and counseling, ongoing and annual evaluations, performance counseling and disciplinary action
- Produce timely and accurate submission of department payables such as expense reports, associate evaluation
- Ensure that sound infection control practices are in place that promote a healthy environment
- Implement systems that ensure compliance with resident risk prevention policies
- Review adverse events, identify need for plans of correction and risk management.
- Participate in resident and family care conferences as needed when needed to help facilitate communication, ensure quality service delivery and manage risks
- Maintain a current knowledge of and monitor community compliance with applicable federal and state regulations related to resident care and nursing practice
- Promote the mission, values and beliefs of Cascade Living
- Completion of certified nursing program.
- An active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington
- Experience of 5 years or more in the care of senior adults and adults with cognitive decline
- Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a related healthcare setting
- Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
- Available and on call for emergencies day and night. Demonstrate organizational skills around time management
- Strong documentation skills and able to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care
- Ability to lead a management team and promote staff development
- Knowledgeable of State, County and local rules, regulations, laws and ordinances relating to nursing practice and community based care for seniors
