What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Patient Service Representative, Medical receptionist position at Cascade Physical Therapy & Rehab (Cascade Orthopaedics)?
We are looking for a “master of first impressions” to represent our eight therapist team in the front office at Cascade Physical Therapy and Rehab.
Our patient’s initial interaction with our front desk patient service representative is the start of their healing process and we are looking for someone who has the personal skills and professional competence to make that a positive experience for every patient. It is our belief that our office support team can actually affect our patient outcomes by positively contributing to the patients overall experience.
This position works closely in our front office with another experienced Patient Service Representative and six physical therapists, one occupational therapist, and one massage therapist. This is an incredible team of therapists who are kind, respectful and professional.
We are one department within a larger office of physicians at Cascade Orthopaedics in Auburn.
We are looking for a patient service rep who:

Front office job duties include but are not limited to:
Greeting patients promptly, taking copays, scheduling patients, paper filing, electronic medical records filing, answering phones, insurance verification and authorization (training available), communicating with other departments, some towel and linen laundry, tidying up waiting and treatment areas during down times throughout the day.
Hours: Monday-Friday 32-40 hours per week. The base daily schedule would be from 10:30am-6:00pm. This schedule can offer some flexibility in the morning hours depending on the hours per week the candidate would desire.
Minimum 1 year experience in customer service position
Prefer 1 year experience in health care setting and familiarity with commercial insurance companies, Medicare, and Labor and Industries.
