Job Summary
This position is responsible for operating, cleaning and performing maintenance and calibration of machines and equipment at Cascade Specialty Pharmacy.

- Operates machines and equipment in pharmacy laboratory according to operating procedures.
- Assist management in the development of equipment operator training and proper maintenance scheduling.
- Cleans equipment and pharmacy laboratory according to company standards.
- Calibrate machine before production begins.
- Ensure machines are regularly checked and cleaned.
- Monitor and control the machine performance and settings.
- Regularly conduct tests on the machine’s performance and operating capacity.
- Troubleshoots equipment errors; Reports malfunctioning or maintenance requests to supervisor/team lead.
- Optimizes equipment and machinery performance and reliability.
- Inspect machinery with appropriate tools.
- Feed raw materials into semi-automated machines and help the assembly line.
- Fix any issues or malfunctions that may occur.
- Check the output of the machines and identify any issues.
- Keep an updated database on all of the machine’s information, defective units and final products.
- Maintain a log of machine activity.
- Regularly submit performance reports and completes quality control documents.
- Participates in quality control.
- Trains others on how to properly use equipment.
Other responsibilities:
- Assist others in pharmacy team as needed
- Performs data entry and other administrative duties as needed by team.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience operating production machinery training with precision equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pharmacy Assistant License (WA state)-required upon hire
- Pharmacy Technician License (WA state)-preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Proficient in using a computer and related equipment, including printers and fax machines.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills via telephone and email.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Basic math skills for addition, subtraction, division, multiplication. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. General accounting and business financial concepts and their applications.
- 20/20 vision (with or without corrective aids) required for visual inspection to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
