We are looking for an Area Sales manager with a proven track record in sales, preferably within the wine and spirits industry, who possesses strong relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of the Montana market. *Location for this position: Bozeman, Billings, or Missoula, Montana.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Amplify Cascade Wine and Spirits’ reach through education to customers, distributors, and trade on the brands, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the category, brands, history, production, and taste profiles.
- Build productive relationships and work collaboratively with company leadership, colleagues, distributor personnel, broker personnel and key trade partners.
- Actively monitor performance versus goal, encourage feedback, monitor competitive activity, category trends, and take corrective action steps as necessary to stay on target.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key on and off-premises accounts, drive Cascade Wine and Spirits depletions and distribution and continue momentum through training seminars, event execution, sampling, and account activation.
- Participate in distributor ride-along.
- Communicate sales plans and pricing strategies to appropriate parties, as necessary.
- Attend internal and external sales meetings, contributing relevant information and insights as necessary.
- Collaborate with marketing to host consumer events.
- Develop local programs to create buzz within the market, either collaboratively with the marketing team or individually.
- Accountable for the overall sales and achievement of goals/targets/KPI’s performance within assigned territory.
- Communicate issues, feedback, opportunities, and market intelligence/insights with appropriate management through written, electronic, and verbal means.
- Drive to various off- and on-premise accounts to create and maintain existing relationships through consistent check-ins.
- Demonstrate responsiveness, integrity, and trust, while always conducting yourself in a professional and responsible manner, as you must always be a positive reflection of the brands.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Entrepreneurial minded and articulate.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with distributor/broker managers and key retail customers.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to balance multiple demands, prioritize tasks, and retain clear focus.
- Experience managing a budget.
- In-depth understanding of the on and off-premises account universe in activation neighborhoods.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 years of sales experience in the spirits, beer or wine industry required.
- Must be 21 or over with a valid driver license an reliable transportation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain state-specific permit/license to sell liquor.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift loads of at least 40 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and drive for periods of time.
Benefits and Pay:
This position offers a competitive base salary of $55,000 per year, with the potential to earn up to 25% of your base salary through commission and SPIFFs. In addition, the company provides fully paid benefits for employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer 15 days of paid time off, 12 paid holidays, and a supportive environment that values your well-being and success.
