Job Title: Resident Monitor Supervisor

Position Summary: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth? J Bar J Youth Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Monitor Supervisor to lead a team of Resident Monitors and Night Monitors. This role is crucial in ensuring the security, safety, and supervision of our residents through direct monitoring, active interaction, and clear staff communication.

In this position, you will provide structure and leadership on shift, ensuring that our residents receive the support they need to thrive in a safe and structured environment. You will work closely with Case Managers to deliver individual, group, and family counseling/skills training, and you will be responsible for supervising and guiding staff to maintain a positive and productive environment for everyone involved.

This role offers the opportunity to work full or part-time, with a variable schedule that includes days, awake overnights, swing shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise Resident Monitors and Night Monitors, ensuring compliance with J Bar J Youth Services policies and procedures.
• Provide direct monitoring of resident accountability as prescribed in treatment plans and special programs.
• Assist Case Managers in providing counseling, skills training, and therapeutic interventions to resident youth.
• Actively interact with residents in recreational, discretionary, and daily living activities, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
• Facilitate phone calls and group activities as needed, and distribute medication in accordance with policy.
• Transport residents to appointments, errands, and other activities as necessary.
• Assist with meal preparation and maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.
• Conduct periodic surveillance rounds during night shifts to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
• Document daily logs, point cards, case notes, and other relevant information to ensure clear and effective staff communication.
• Maintain frequent and professional communication with Parole Officers, and participate in staff and Treatment Team meetings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, secure, and positive environment for both staff and resident youth.
• Oversee shift responsibilities, including work station assignments, employee training, breaks, overtime assignment, and shift rotations.
• Ensure effective communication of relevant information between shift staff and manage all shift paperwork.

Qualifications:

• Experience in social work, youth services, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and support staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
