Job Description :
- Assess and monitor wounds
- Clean and bandage wounds
- Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to determine if additional treatments or changes in care are required
- Educate staff, patients, and caretakers on wound care, infection prevention, and pressure ulcer (bed sore) care
- Write orders to expedite wound healing and avoid skin breakdown
- Keep up-to-date on the latest wound care best-practices
- Regularly perform rounds with the wound care doctor
- Create & maintain wound care / infection control care plans
This position requires empathy and patience. Being especially supportive and encouraging to our residents and staff is crucial to being a successful wound care nurse at our facility!
Pay Range : LVN : $29-34 / hour; RN : $38-43 / hour
