As the Activitites Assistant (Life Enrichment Associate), you play a big part in making our residents’ lives more meaningful by assisting in the various activities. You’ll be depended upon to take the lead in encouraging resident participation and over time come to understand the individual needs of each resident.
What Cascade Living and Cascades of Bend look for in an Activities Assistant (Life Enrichment Associate):
- Must possess current first aid certification and a current food handler’s or serve safe certification
- Work with the dining room manager to identify dietary needs and develop appropriate dietary plans
- Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
- Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents, and their families
- Demonstrate active listening techniques, and gain support by treating others with dignity and respect
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to problem solve
- Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
What you can expect to do as an Activity Assistant for Cascades of Bend:
- Must have experience in planning, organizing, and executing a varied schedule of life enrichment opportunities for all levels of seniors
- Valid Driver’s license as this role will require driving residents
- Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents, and their families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to facilitate small-group presentations
- Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
- Innovative thinker who brings new ideas to the table
- Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Cascade Living
- Depending on Experience
Oregon Drivers License Required
