Responsibilities
- Maintain a current state license as a professional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Represent our community in a positive and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and their families.
- Demonstrate active listening techniques and treat others with dignity and respect.
- Provide strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Work with the dining room manager to identify dietary needs and develop appropriate plans.
- Stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Expectations
- Contribute to the high quality of life of our residents by maintaining consistency and quality.
- Review routines, calendar events, team member schedules, and coordinate resident appointments, treatments, or procedures.
- Assist with new resident orientation and transition to the community.
- Develop, implement, and update service plans.
- Makes daily rounds to observe and evaluate the physical and emotional status of residents.
- Coordinate admission and discharge of residents.
- Evaluate employee performance and take responsibility for recruiting, hiring, and training new employees.
- Ensure documentation of resident clinical status and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Manage medications and supplies, ensuring they are ordered, stocked, and counted at shift change.
- Demonstrate organizational skills around time management.
- Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Cascade Living.
