Position Summary:
As a Direct Care Professional at Cascades Senior Living, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for our residents. You will provide assistance with daily living activities, offer emotional support, and promote independence and social interaction. Your compassion, patience, and dedication will make a significant impact on the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records as per facility guidelines.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfer as needed.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting social engagement.
- Document daily activities, observations, and any changes in residents' condition in accordance with facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices and facility policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar role or healthcare setting is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within the first month of employment).
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- 18 years of age or older.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
