What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer position at CASCO Civil?
CASCO Civil is hiring a full-time Civil Engineer who will be responsible for designing, preparing, reviewing and overseeing civil engineering projects. This includes land development, storm sewer collection, treatment, and detention design, sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution systems, streets and highways, and site improvements as well as collaborating with Clients, Architects, and Engineers as a part of the project design team. The Civil Engineer must possess strong technical skills and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, and otherdesign software. Familiarity with St. Louis area communities’ and MSD submittal procedures is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Site planning and design.
- Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations for the project.
- Knowledge and experience with stormwater calculations and permitting.
- Ability to managemultiple resources (directlyand indirectly) throughproject completion.
- Cross group collaboration with clients, our team, and other consultants.
- Draft civil engineering designs for roadways,water, sewage lines,drainage, and land grading specifications for commercial and residential building sites using maps and topographical surveys.
- Draft both 2D and 3D designs of utilities, roadways,and other infrastructure systems.
- Interpret civil engineering drawings to determine where to placeutilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.
- Read maps and land surveysto note land grading, nearby structures, and other factorsthat could affect the placement of utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degreein civil engineering required, emphasis in water resources a plus
- A Missouri Licensed Professional Engineer or someone within 6 months or less of taking the licensure exam.
- Stormwater hydraulics and hydrology designexperience.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D capable.
- A minimum of 4 years of industry experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multipleprojects and effectively balance workload.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D experience is preferred.
- Occasional travel may be required.
