We are seeking a commercially oriented, forward-thinking and controls focused individual, with a proven track record in developing strong finance teams, to provide financial leadership to CASCO Pet’s US entity. Accounting for 80% of group revenues, CASCO America is a crucial business unit.

A key element of this role will be to provide timely and accurate financial management information on the performance of the US entity and ensure all Group and statutory deadlines are met. They will also be a key member of the local management team, helping to drive profitable business growth and leadership to the business unit. Please note there will occasionally be international travel required for this role.

Key Accountabilities - Main Areas Of Responsibility

Management of US Business

  • Work closely with the President US and VP Operations to provide strong & aligned leadership to the US business
  • Attend & actively participate in weekly US leadership meetings
  • Input on strategic discussions around use of resources & investment decisions
  • Help manage one-off projects / strategic initiatives

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

  • Provide financial control, support, and insight to the US business
  • Manage the Month-end / Year-end close
  • Liaise with external advisers to ensure US tax compliance
  • Cashflow management including reconciliation and forecasting
  • Review monthly sales analysis & revenue recognition, providing insightful commentary
  • Ensure Monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed and variances resolved
  • Collate, review and approve payroll and supplier payment funs

Group Reporting / Forecasting

  • Coordinate monthly financial reporting in line with group timetable
  • Produce Monthly management accounts & variance analysis / commentary
  • Present, review and provide commentary for Monthly customer / job profitability
  • Produce monthly sales, P&L & cashflow forecasts
  • Balance sheet reviews with Group Finance
  • Manage the Year-end close & external audit for the US business
  • Lead the annual budget process for US business
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested
  • Input on SAGE X3 / other system improvement discussions & projects

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Qualified CPA (or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years' experience leading a busy finance team
  • Experience working in an international organization is essential
  • Hands on knowledge of Sage X3 or a similar ERP system
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, xlookups etc.) and Office 365
  • Experience with inventory accounting
  • Experience working with outsourced finance teams

  • Understanding of month end processes and group reporting requirements
