Job Title: Lead Carpenter
We are seeking a talented and experienced carpenter to join our team at Case Construction and Restoration. As a lead carpenter, you will play a key role in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
About the Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for following safety rules and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and using blueprints and building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safety and Quality: Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Construction and Installation: Construct wood structures including framing, joists, and rafters, and install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and take action on blueprints, and use mathematical concepts and measurements to determine construction requirements.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and repair structures and fixtures, and ensure they meet building regulations and codes.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a carpenter is required.
- Mathematical Concepts: Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements.
- Tool Operation: Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools.
- Building Regulations: Knowledge of building regulations and codes.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
