What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embrex Laborer position at Case Farms, LLC?
Assisting vaccination crew in safe/efficient operation of Embrex machine
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :
- Stacking Eggs: Stacking eggs entails transferring the eggs from the Embrex machines into the buggies. The process is repeated until each employee has unloaded 6 incubating machines at which time, they switch duties.
- Feeding Machines: Feeding Machines entails transferring the eggs from the Buggies into the Vaccinating Machine.
- The process is repeated until each employee has worked the Embrexing machines for the time it takes to unload 6 incubators at which time they switch duties.
- Empty Tray Side: Empty Tray Side entails transferring the empty crates of eggs from the Embrex machines into a holding buggy. The process is repeated until each has worked the outfeed belt of the Embrex machines for the time it takes to unload 6 incubators at which time they switch duties.
REQUIREMENTS :
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to work with others in a close environment.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work quickly and multitask.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, if applicable.
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity’s up to 100%.
- Exposed to chemicals, drugs, and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
- Ability to lift 4 lbs. to 30 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. pull and handle.
- Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
- Must be able to use broom, shovel, mop, and scrub brushes to remove chick down.
- Work with chemicals to effectively wash and disinfect hatchers through hand scrubbing and a high-pressure washer.
- Must understand and follow Case Farms' Animal Welfare guidelines.
