OVERVIEW ::

Landscape and maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Shall perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, trash removal, pressure washing of sidewalks and required areas including walls and other areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
- Follows detailed routine grounds keeping duties.
- Waters all plants, flowers, and grass on property by hand, sprinkler or other methods as needed.
- Mows and trims lawn areas.
- Pulls weeds by hand or uses “Weed Wacker” as appropriate.
- Planting, fertilizing, and other gardening jobs as needed.
- Maintains and operates drip watering system if applicable.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all outside areas including grounds keeping and garbage maintenance.
- Keeps all related equipment clean, maintained, and stored properly.
- Keeps equipment storage room neat, clean, and organized.
- Completes inventory of supplies and informs manager when additional supplies are needed.
- Keeps the entire property free of litter, cigarette butts, and other trash.
- Shall perform routine “rounds” of the grounds in the evening.
- Will be on call for night shift persons in case of problems.
- Work on some holidays.
- Perform all other duties as needed.
- 18 years old.
- Minimum of 6 months of grounds keeping/gardening experience.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and other personnel.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- High School Diploma/ or equivalent preferred.

- Work in an outside environment and inside environment.
- Sometimes in inclement weather.
- Work inside may be dusty, hot, and humid.
- Work in noisy environment and moving equipment.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Physical strength and ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor, including frequent bending, walking, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Stamina to maintain continuous physical effort for the durations of the shift on a regular basis.
