What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Assistant Day Shift position at Case Farms, LLC?
This position supports the Human Resources Supervisor with various administrative tasks. This position is the front-line customer service for Case Farms employees and is equipped to answer questions regarding attendance, vacation balances, and basic benefit inquiries. The HR Assistant must maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Assists with various special projects as assigned. This position reports to the night shift Human Resources Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all employee data and issues arriving to the HR office.
- Performs administrative functions of HR, including attendance, payroll, ID badges, etc.
- Delivers accurate and timely feedback to employees regarding any inquiries made.
- Prepares and processes employee documentation - assists with/prepares correspondence, prepares new employee files, processes mail.
- Maintains personnel records (hard copy, HRIS, and electronic); Ensures that information is current.
- Helps HR Department coordinate and put together employee events throughout the year.
- Fosters Company culture through constant contact with employees - Intakes and routes employee's issues, escalating problematic issues to higher-level management.
- Routes phone calls to the appropriate parties.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS :
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in Office/HR roles.
- Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred.
- Knowledge of office administration procedures and computer systems (Word, Excel, Ultipro, and Kronos).
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written; Edits/proofs work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and can read and interpret written information.
- Attention to detail in composing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Planning: organizational and prioritizations skills; plans work activities well; uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans; excellent multi-tasking and scheduling.
