The HR clerk is primarily responsible for handling assigned HR functions, dealing with an internal and external customer base, maintaining records, carrying out procedures, answering phones, and answering HR related questions. The clerk will also be responsible for preparing a variety of complex documents, and/or effecting public contact which requires considerable knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
- Assist with employee engagement, and people-related issues, and aligning HR processes.
- HRIS input and reporting monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc metrics for the business.
- Process, Verify and Maintain Personnel Documentation.
- Responsible for maintaining HR Data and keeping files up to date.
- Helps gather information to answer unemployment documentation to the State.
- Helps Monitor and Track Data Entry and accuracy of the information in Kronos, and Ulti-Pro.
- Effectively communicate Personnel Policies.
- Assist employees by answering questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Helps with new hire orientation and On-Boarding process as needed.
- Compile Employee Reports with accuracy.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to handle a fast paced, busy workload
- Must be able to work respectfully with employees of different nationalities and languages
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
- Must be available to work the overnight shift and stay alert
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate degree in Human Resources field (preferred) or commensurate experience in HR.
- Candidates must be Bilingual(English/Spanish/Creole)
- Must read and write in both languages as well as speak.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
