What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Case Farms, LLC?
- Directs production and ensures cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.
- Maintains plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.
- Prepares and submits operating reports to management to inform them of the current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assures effective customer service and relations through timely delivery of quality product.
- Selects, trains, develops, and motivates manufacturing staff to maintain plant operation.
- Assures compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations.
- May set production and processing goals for plant.
REQUIREMENTS ::
- Personal computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to lead a group of diverse individuals to achieve departmental goals and effectively drive management’s vision to all levels of operations.
- Detail oriented, structured, and able to communicate effectively.
- Must possess demonstrated ability to work within timelines and in high pressure situations.
- Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent follow through on assigned tasks required for this position.
- Must be able to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- User level experience with common problem-solving tools.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, and strong communication skills.
- Requires a minimum of 7 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience in a poultry processing plant.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- DIRECTLY RELATED work experience will be accepted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the educational requirement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ::
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings, but requires standing, walking, bending and stooping.
- Extraneous situations may arise for which additional physical demands may be required.
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- It is necessary that candidate have the capacity to remain calm, considerate, and tactful under unanticipated situations.
- Occasionally work nights, weekends, holidays and/or long shifts.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
- Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10 ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
