Job Opportunity: Fiscal Assistant (Representative Payee)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.69 per hour
Expected Hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

Position Overview: As a Fiscal Assistant (Representative Payee), you’ll play a critical role in supporting individuals who are unable to manage their funds, as determined by Social Security. In this position, you'll provide an essential service that ensures individuals' financial needs are met while maintaining compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for annual and periodic budget changes.
- Monitor monthly budgets, write checks as indicated, and collaborate with case managers on payee account issues.
- Process fund requests, bill payments, and generate financial reports when needed.
- Ensure compliance with Social Security and Community Resources’ asset limits.
- Complete and process Representative Payee accounting reports and Social Security letters.
- Respond to inquiries from Social Security, case managers, banks, and other payers.
- Manage document scanning and verification into the system.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and other duties as assigned by the Fiscal Supervisor or CFO.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Experience: Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or finance, with 3 years of experience in banking or a related financial field.
- Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in banking or a related financial field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Act 33 and 34 clearances are required.
