Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Records Coordinator. This is a non-union position under the supervision of the Director of Operations. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience and a strong background in medical records management, with an emphasis on accuracy, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Medical Records department as well as reception staff.
· Train, supervise, and support assigned medical records staff in routine medical records functions.
· Train, supervise, and support assigned clerical reception staff.
· Manage and coordinate front desk coverage, including reception staff scheduling and absentee management.
· Provide Medical Records training as part of New Hire Orientation.
· Deliver OnBase Basics training for new staff.
· Ensure the maintenance, security, and accuracy of consumer medical records.
· Scan, verify, troubleshoot, and correct errors in consumer medical records.
· Process Medical Records Requests from outside agencies, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
· Complete cover letters, invoices, and log Medical Records Requests. Communicate with Case Managers/Supports Coordinators on the status of requests.
· Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports as required.
· Ensure records requested for audits are complete and accurate.
· Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and agency standards in medical record handling.
· Conduct initial and annual performance evaluations of assigned staff.
· Oversee inventory of supplies and escalate purchasing requests to the Director of Operations as needed.
· Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.
· Maintain professional boundaries with coworkers.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Training:
· 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience.
· Experience with electronic medical records systems within the last 3 years.
· Knowledge of business information systems.
Preferred Experience and Training:
· College degree.
