Description:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for checking the quality of incoming and outgoing material and products. They are a firm advocate of quality in our business. Possess a trained eye for detail. Ensure our products are constructed such that they meet or exceed quality standards and are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections throughout the process to assess product quality.
  • Ensure parts and products meet acceptable quality standards and will satisfy our customers’ needs.
  • Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team.
  • Read and use production paperwork to identify and locate product parts and corresponding hardware.
  • Wipe down finished products and assist in the assembly process as requested or needed.
  • Upstream RCI’s.
  • Develop teamwork by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all employees and business contacts.
  • Work with enthusiasm, remain optimistic, and seek innovative solutions to problems.
  • Adhere to 6-S by maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Work in an extremely safe manner, following all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements:
  • At least one (1) year manufacturing experience at Case Systems or manufacturing company.
  • Familiarity with cabinet construction quality standards.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • A commitment to allowing zero defective parts or products to leave our facility.
  • Strong problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Good attendance, work performance and safety records.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use personal computers and applicable software applications - production planning, Internet, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work extra hours as needed, sometimes on short notice.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, see and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 50 or more pounds. Occasional travel and/or driving is required. Noise levels are typically low to moderate.
