**Job Overview**
Casella Waste Systems Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Environmental Compliance Intern. This role will provide opportunities to apply engineering principles to support air/waste/water permitting, engineering construction, and environmental compliance projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Participate in field site visits, collect data, and analyze findings by producing technical reports, tabulating data, and preparing charts, graphs, and sketches.
- Research and summarize environmental regulations, recommending applicability for facilities and collaborating with facility management to maintain local, state, and federal permits.
- Participate in engineering design, contractor procurement, and construction management meetings and site visits to support successful facility development projects.
- Compile, organize, and analyze engineering and capital construction costs, including third-party contractor and consultant bids.
**Requirements:**
The successful candidate will be enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related degree program, have legal eligibility to work in the US, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel among company facilities.
