Job Summary
The Regional Account Manager is accountable for expanding and maintaining a network of customers within a defined geographic area. This role requires developing a deep understanding of customer needs to increase revenue through the sale of new products or services.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop sales and marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to stay up-to-date on Casella products and identify selling opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to increase services to existing customers and implement account retention programs, including price increases.
- Maintain strong relationships with drivers, operations, customers, and customer service representatives to ensure safe service procedures.
- Understand and utilize company pricing and profitability models, and prepare administrative paperwork for customer setup and account changes.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to set and communicate monthly goals and accomplishments, and implement effective time management practices.
- Develop tasks and activities that support both personal and company objectives, and communicate actual results to local management.
- Attend divisional and regional sales meetings to aid in training and networking opportunities.
- Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
Educational Requirements & Experience
A bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing, 3-5 years of sales experience, experience or interest in environmental or sustainability fields, relevant sales certifications, and eligibility to work in the US are required. A valid driver's license and ability to travel 80% of the time are also necessary.
Required Skills
Strong interpersonal, strategic selling, and negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential.
