What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer - Software Technology position at Caselle?
This individual must be an excellent communicator, proficient in various computer software tools, be highly efficient, and be willing to work with production deadlines. This person will publish training webinars and use the information from the training webinars to generate content for the help projects.
This position is full time.
This individual will begin working onsite in the office. Caselle does have the option to work from home, which will be available on an individual basis. A computer will be provided.
Job duties and functions:
- Publishes webinars to help projects and knowledge base.
- Authors technical documentation and procedures from training webinars.
- Writes content for help projects and knowledge base articles.
- Must have or desire to have a technical understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, and management systems.
- Interfaces with product trainers and customer service.
- Must be proficient or desire to be proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Robohelp, financial accounting software, and possess basic graphic design skills.
Job specifications:
- Requires bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or accounting.
- Some experience or desire to obtain experience publishing training webinars and writing instructions and procedures.
- Some experience or desire to obtain experience working with video editing, help projects, and knowledge base.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Can multi-task and be flexible to work with variations in the workload.
