Job Title: Outreach Specialist

Job Summary:

CASES is seeking a dynamic outreach specialist for its new workforce development program CRED (Community Resources for Employment and Development) who is participant centered and desires to work in partnership with participants to accomplish their life and career goals. The ideal candidate has experience working with individuals who have systems involvement and have outreach knowledge and experience. The outreach specialist must be engaging and demonstrate the ability to pitch the program to potential participants, referral partners and organizations.

Salary: The salary for the Outreach Specialist role is $58,000 per year.

Shift Hours: The Outreach Specialist position is full-time working Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm or 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Location Address: 4 West 125th Street, New York, N.Y. 10027, Travel throughout the city as needed.

What you will be doing:

• Work with program director to identify outreach strategies
• Identify, build, and maintain strong collaborative relationships with program partners, including grassroots, faith-based, local community representatives, advocates, community leaders, schools, and community-based organizations to recruit participants
• Facilitate events to encourage recruitment
• Initiate and be a part of a team that cultivates strong relationships with participants
• Establish strategic approaches for quality, diverse and culturally sensitive outreach.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure information is being communicated between team regarding participants
• Support cases managers with program retention
• Conduct follow-up outreach to participants to ensure engagement
• Enter data entry/notes at the end of each workday

What we are looking for:

• HS/HSE diploma
• At least two (2) years of successful and relevant experience.
• Strong communication and engagement skills
• Ability to shift presentations based on audience
