We create and operate hotels in places we love to visit! Our portfolio includes Casa Cody in the heart of iconic Palm Springs, The Pearl Hotel in San Diego, Hotel Marina Riviera in Big Bear Lake as well as The Surfrider in Malibu. Coming later this year, we will open Hotel Willa in Taos, New Mexico, and Hotel Lucille in the heart of Los Angeles in the neighborhood of Silverlake. A project in upstate New York in the town of Hudson kicks off this summer. The portfolio is expanding at an intentional yet fast pace.
Reporting to: Hotel Manager / General Manager
Summary of Position: A Hotel Overnight Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property during nighttime hours. They patrol the premises, monitor surveillance systems, respond to incidents, and enforce hotel policies to maintain a secure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol hotel grounds, hallways, and common areas to prevent unauthorized activity.
- Monitor security cameras and respond to alarms or suspicious behavior.
- Assist guests and staff with security concerns or emergencies.
- Enforce hotel rules and policies, including noise control and access restrictions.
- Respond to incidents such as disturbances, thefts, or medical emergencies.
- Work with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Complete detailed reports on nightly activities and security incidents.
- Ensure doors, windows, and entry points are secured.
Requirements:
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of security procedures, hotel policies, and basic first aid.
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and stand or walk for long periods.
