Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree (required); advanced degree preferred.
- 150 credit hours completed to be CPA-eligible.
- CPA license or actively pursuing licensure.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in public accounting.
- Proven experience preparing trust, estate, and partnership tax returns.
- Knowledge of trust accounting and compliance requirements.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
What You’ll Do
Client Service
- Serve as a trusted advisor and secondary point of contact for clients.
- Understand client businesses and financial needs, especially for trusts and partnerships.
Technical Tax Work
- Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for trusts, estates, partnerships, and other entities.
- Conduct tax research and support planning initiatives.
- Maintain financial records and ensure compliance for trust clients.
Leadership & Team Support
- Mentor and guide staff accountants.
- Handle administrative tasks efficiently and confidentially.
- Promote collaboration and foster strong relationships across the firm.
