Managers and leveraging information to drive profitable sales.
- Provides both high-level and detailed analysis, tracking performance and offering actionable insights, to assist in the achievement of overarching pricing and category strategies, initiatives and goals.
- Enters pricing segmentation rules and constraints in the price optimization system to capture value through increased sales and profit.
- Coordinates guest, competition, store traffic, and product hierarchy segmentation criteria.
- Studies effectiveness of executed pricing strategies to ensure that target outcomes are achieved.
- Creates pricing scenarios within and among pricing segments for approval by the appropriate Category Manager.
- Contributes to special projects that have an impact on both the pricing and category management teams, and that provide the company with benefits and improved performance.
- Prepares analyses that support and inform cost negotiations, space allocation decisions, and product and program development.
- Helps create additional tools and processes to continuously improve and inform pricing and category decisions.
- Responsible for the accuracy and validation of vendor-submitted deals and promotions.
- Performs analysis to maximize promotional opportunity, by way of both future promotion planning and post-promotion evaluation, and to support the promotional negotiation process.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related field or equivalent work-related experience is required.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferred. Familiarity with NielsenIQ, Circana, or other syndicated data sources.
- Prior experience with Pricebook or Price Optimization software and retail marketing background is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks is required.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions, plan, and prioritize, which will be tested in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to present clear and concise business results and articulate a course of action.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
