The HR Benefits and Wellness Manager develops and implements benefits and wellness strategies, oversees health and retirement plans, and manages benefits administration. They collaborate with consultants on RFPs, manage the benefits budget, and oversee benefits communication materials. Additionally, they handle the annual open enrollment process, design and promote well-being programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with benefits vendors. The Benefits & Wellness Manager will also assist in developing and implementing wellness initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values.
- Develop and implement comprehensive benefits and wellness strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives while maintaining external competitiveness.
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of health, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations. Provide support and guidance to employees regarding their benefits options, eligibility, and claims. Resolve benefits-related issues and inquiries.
- Provide insights and data on current and future benefit matters and well-being strategies, and present findings to senior leadership. Propose changes to maintain fiscal responsibility and compliance, working with consultants on RFPs for benefit vendors and related programs.
- Manage the benefits and well-being program budget, providing financial analysis on trends and projections. Work closely with Casey’s legal counsel to review and properly execute benefits contracts.
- Oversee the development and delivery of all benefits and well-being communication materials, including brochures, newsletters, presentations, and content on Casey’s benefits website and mobile app to drive education and engagement.
- Manage the annual open enrollment process, including planning, communication, and execution. Ensure team members have the information and support they need to make informed decisions.
- Design and promote a well-being program to foster a culture of health, monitoring trends and driving team member engagement.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (HIPAA, IRS, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, etc.), maintaining knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, Medicare, Social Security, and Department of Labor requirements.
- Develop and manage relationships with benefits vendors and service providers. Hold vendors accountable to performance guarantees and coordinate with each supplier to ensure smooth delivery of services and resolve any issues.

Compensation:
Starting pay range: $96,500 - $134,400. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work-related experience.
- At least eight years of experience managing benefits and wellness programs with experience in designing, structuring, and analyzing benefit plans, as well as communicating with team members and managing expenses.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and process aspects of leave programs.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build professional relationships based on transparency and mutual respect with internal team members and external vendors.
- Detail oriented and highly organized with excellent analytical, strategic planning and decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Salary : $96,500 - $134,400
