What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Operations Lead position at Casey's?
The IT Operations Lead is responsible for leading a team of IT Network Operations Center (NOC) professionals. They will provide direction, oversight and support to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the organization’s network and IT Infrastructure. The IT Operations Team Lead will be responsible for monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to optimize network efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values.
- Oversee the monitoring of network systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Coordinate and manage the response to network incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
- Maintain detailed records of network performance, incidents, and resolutions. Prepare regular reports for management.
- Identify areas for improvement in network operations and implement best practices and new technologies.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing development opportunities for existing staff.

This role does not allow for 100% remote work. Out of state qualified candidates must be willing to relocate and live within a daily commutable distance of Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny, IA. Casey's has a hybrid work environment consisting of 3 days per week onsite.
Compensation:
Starting pay range: $72,000 - $94,500. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar field, or equivalent work-related experience.
- At least three years of experience in network operations.
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Demonstrates ability to produce detailed solutions for a technical audience and produce clear written and verbal communications for a non-technical audience.
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends, determine root cause, and develop and implement ways to prevent future occurrences.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across Casey's organization and with 3rd party vendors.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced multifaceted environment is necessary.
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Demonstrates ability to produce detailed solutions for a technical audience and produce clear written and verbal communications for a non-technical audience.
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends, determine root cause, and develop and implement ways to prevent future occurrences.
- Will need to be available for after hours’ on-call escalation.
Preferred Experience & Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or similar.
- Prior leadership experience.
