The Talent Program Manager works closely with Leader Development, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to plan, create and implement talent strategies and programs. This position is responsible for managing Casey’s talent assessments, succession planning, performance management processes, and assessment tools. This role will activate and continuously improve talent management programs and processes to improve the performance and movement of talent across Casey’s.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support design and implementation of talent programs, including performance management, succession planning, talent review, high potential programs, 9-box, etc. Work closely with HR Business Partners and Learning and Development teams to identify or create tools and processes to assess and support talent.
- Support planning and delivery of the career management strategy, including individual development plans for all employees, career paths, and integration of values-based models. Partner with HR Business Partners to ensure individual development plans are in place for all key talent and succession candidates to enhance their ability to achieve goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
- Lead the evaluation, enhancement, and re-imagination of the Performance Management process to include the focal and anniversary appraisal process, touchpoints, multi-rater 360-degree feedback and goal setting to ensure alignment with Casey’s strategic initiatives, values, clarity of expectations, exceptional delivery of high-quality feedback, and meaningful outcomes following performance conversations
- Partner with learning and development team to support integration design and facilitate learning programs to support talent programs, including the performance management and goal setting process. Develop communications and leader/team member tools and resources.
- Support broad integration of talent management and HR processes (e.g., integration of Casey’s Values in the talent assessment process; IDP process into the High Potential talent pool and Successor development plans, etc.). Ensure alignment and linking of talent/succession plans with other executive initiatives. Partner with other HR-Compensation team on integration of performance management process with compensation planning process for both focal and anniversary cycles.
- Partner with HRIS team on system maintenance and enhancements and with HR Analytics team to execute reporting and measurement strategy for all applicable talent programs, including talent and succession planning and goal and performance management
- Stay up to date on the latest industry best practices to provide specialist advice and support to HR Business partners and end-users with regards to supported talent programs.

Compensation:
Starting pay range: $62,500 - $82,000. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work-related experience is required. Experience in human resources talent programs preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a program management or project management role required, where the primary responsibilities included design and execution of programs with quality standards and budget responsibilities.
- Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment and demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative and team environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, interact, influence, and communicate at all levels with strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong Project Management and delivery focus. Ability to drive work to deadlines, engage stakeholders and follow up on outstanding items.
- Experience in researching, developing, and/or maintaining relationship with vendors to deliver programs.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills; ability to determine root causes and provide solutions.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Ability to simultaneously operate at a big pictures/strategic level while also consistently delivering action with speed and quality.
- Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple demands
- Proven experience consulting (contracting, needs analysis, and action planning) and tailoring the approach to meet the needs of clients.
