NURSERY MAINTENANCE WORKER

Job Summary:

The full-time/part-time Nursery Maintenance Worker will perform general yard and grounds keeping on the 12-acre Cashman Nursery property, including mowing, weeding, planting annuals and perennials and other duties as assigned. Hours are flexible.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Mowing grounds at entire nursery and beyond as required.
• Weeding gardens, planting and transplanting as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of flowers, shrubs and plants required.
• Ability to follow instructions from owners or senior maintenance workers.
• Knowledge of general yard maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience preferred.
• On-the-job training offered.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to bend, or push mower.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Salary : $20 - $24
