Job Summary
CashMax is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for our bi-weekly pay schedule. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of payroll administration experience, strong knowledge of Texas payroll regulations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role also supports HR administrative duties, including employee onboarding, recordkeeping, and benefits reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including hourly, salaried, and commission-based staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee details, pay rates, and tax withholdings.
- Calculate and process bonuses, overtime, deductions, and contest earnings.
- Ensure compliance with Texas payroll laws and remain up to date on changes in regulations.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, benefits, and tax payments, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Generate payroll and financial reports for management review as needed.
HR Administrative Support:
- Assist with maintaining accurate employee records, including new hire paperwork, status changes, and terminations.
- Respond to employee inquiries about payroll, benefits, and company policies.
- Support onboarding processes, ensuring seamless integration of new hires into the organization.
- Contribute to HR initiatives such as compliance audits and employee engagement programs.
401(k) Administration:
- Support the administration of 401(k) plans, including contributions, enrollments, and compliance.
- Collaborate with third-party administrators for timely and accurate processing of retirement benefits and annual audits.
Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure all payroll and HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of payroll administration experience, with a strong understanding of Texas payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software; experience with Paycom is a plus.
- Familiarity with 401(k) administration preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Working Conditions:
