POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager role at CASI is a highly visible leadership position that manages customer relationships as well as operational initiatives by working with Sales, Applications Engineers, Customer Care, Quality Assurance, Design Engineers, Manufacturing, Controls, Robotics, and Software to provide project-based automated solutions from inception through site delivery and customer acceptance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Champion CASI’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values by demonstrating the behaviors that contribute to CASI’s success.
- Lead projects in a transparent and productive way, utilizing standard project management practices and defined PMO processes and tools.
- Effectively communicate project status with CASI leadership team as well as with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand all technical, commercial, human resource, and environmental risks and ensure they are managed and mitigated throughout all phases of the project
- Manage work breakdown structures (WBS) to ensure all customer requirements are captured and engineering and manufacturing plans support project schedule.
- Identify and adjudicate all scope changes to the baseline deliverables
- Interface and communicate with all functional teams – Liaise with all functional and cross functional teams to drive project success
- Plan, schedule and track project deliverables and milestones.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of System Requirements Document for assigned projects.
- Troubleshoot and generate practical solutions to problems arising during the project lifecycle.
- Create project recovery and mitigation plans; provide direction and hands-on support as needed.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
Experience: 5 years direct work experience in a PM capacity ($500K , 10 team members). Formal project management training and certifications (CMP, PMP) or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
- Proven Project Management experience in manufacturing and automation environments, experience with material handling preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience working with various engineering disciplines to continually drive project scope through release to manufacturing
- Understanding of system testing/validation processes for project deliverables
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to connect with employees at all levels.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, experience with Smartsheet preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Mechanical or Electrical Design experience, with success in managing product development projects.
- Understanding of Bill of Materials and MRP systems.
- Experience in Critical Chain project management.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate production schedules or urgent engineering issues.
- Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits, training, or other job-related activities; travel could be domestic or international.
- Physical ability to spend time on the manufacturing floor, as needed.
- Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment
Salary : $500,000
