Job Description:
As a Baker you will use your experience to create new and flavorful desserts for our food outlets.
Job Requirements:
- Make sure the quality or our desserts are of high quality and the portioned correctly.
- Check the display cases every day for quality control.
- Exercise creativity on new creations from the bakery.
- Ensure that no baked goods leave the kitchen without a ticket.
- Knowledgeable in production of doughs and form, baking and traying of early morning Danishes, sign work, mixing, baking, and proper storage of items baked.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of doughs, biscuits, Danish dough, baguettes, and muffins.
- Make sure the presentations in all outlets are up to our standards.
- Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
- At least 2 years previous experience as a baker.
- Must have 1 year Bakery experience.
Skills, Education and Other Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- The ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must have the ability to successfully interact with other team members and management.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
