Job Description:
The Heavy-Duty Cleaner is responsible for supporting the back of the house in many different roles. You will be assigned to one of our (4) restaurants.
Job Requirements:
- Required to deep clean under and around cooking/refrigeration appliances, behind storage areas.
- Clean drains, walls and counters.
- Wash heavy pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
- Dust, sweep, and mop various kitchen areas when needed.
- Emptying the trash in all kitchens.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or as a dishwasher is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, crawl, lift, lower, and move items weighing up to 35 pounds. Heavier items require assistance.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- The ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
