What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Cashier - Full-Time position at CASINO PAUMA?
SUMMARY:
As a Host/Cashier, providing excellent guest service is a must. Greet guests and escorts them to table with menus and advises server of new party.
- Take names of guests when needed for the purpose of waiting list and give customer approximate time of opening of a table.
- Receive and disburse money.
- Use equipment such as adding machines, point of sale machines, and credit card processing machines to process payments for customers.
- Performs all closing duties and additional duties as directed by management.
- These tasks will be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner resulting in a high level of guest satisfaction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 months cash handling skills (preferred) or successful completion of in house cashier training course.
- Prior hospitality experience (preferred.)
- Knowledge of Restaurant operations and guest service.
- Ability to be guest/service oriented.
- Skilled in organization and communication.
- Ability to insure team concept in the workplace.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to obtain and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Seat customers and take payment for patrons’ meal charges.
- Maintain a waiting list and call customers over PA system.
- Complete necessary paperwork for the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
