SUMMARY:
The role of the Revenue Audit Lead is extremely important to the audit department and the audit team members. This role will be intricately involved to ensure compliance with internal controls relating to casino floor and cage transactions, gaming, and nongaming revenue. Will be involved in the completion of the month end close process for all revenue accounts.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in supervising and cross training the revenue audit team.
- Will observe team members overall daily functions, while working with the Accounting Manager on any corrective actions and plans.
- Communicate and coordinate reconciliation activities with other departments.
- Collect and organize daily paperwork and assure cage transmittal forms are correctly completed.
- Reconcile banking activity and trace accuracy of all Cage and casino transactions.
- Prepare and print recap reports on all gaming activity including customized reports.
- Record Drop/Pay outs as they relate to Casino activity.
- Confirm accuracy of transactions, including bank deposits, hard count, soft count, and vault activity.
- Assist with reconciliation between general ledger and Cage and Vault, and nongaming revenue.
- Assist in the preparation of month end reports on all gaming profit centers.
- Compliance with Casino internal control policies and procedures as they pertain to this position.
- Maintain confidentiality of all casino operations data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one-year accounting and records management experience in a casino.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a 10 – key calculator, printers and computers.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- This role will require occasional movement throughout the property.
- The person in this role frequently communicates with others that may have questions, they must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must complete work accurately, in a timely manner, and with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities and work independently from conception to completion.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate application of internal controls.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED (required), college degree preferred
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is primarily performed indoors, in a climate-controlled environment. The indoor space is a shared office space with other people working in close proximity.
- May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise exposure to the general public.
