SUMMARY:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of their assigned shift, which provides safety and protects all patrons, team members, and company assets. Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control, loss, time, and injuries. Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities. Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting. Complete performance reviews and issue positive recognition as well as disciplinary action.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises an assigned shift by ensuring the shift is covered; provides leadership, training, review of employee performance and recommendation for employment action
- Ensures shift carries out duties and responsibilities in a customer service-oriented manner
- Enforces compliance with Gaming compact and Casino procedures
- Assists in planning and implementing goals and objectives to accomplish department mission and improve Security operations
- Assists in the update & development of Security department policy & procedure
- Works effectively with coworkers, the public, and law enforcement officials
- Coordinates activities with law enforcement or emergency service providers as necessary or required
- Physically controls disorderly patrons, and conducts foot patrol of interior and exterior of the facility as needed
- Provides Security over Bill Validator (BVA) drop
- Conducts Table Games (TG) drop as needed
- Assists with BVA drop if needed
- Responsible for compliance with the casino’s internal control policies and procedures as it relates to the positions stated job description
- Performs other duties as directed or assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years of recognized law enforcement, Security or Military experience or combination thereof
- 2 years Supervisory experience (preferred)
- Casino experience (preferred)
- Guard Card (preferred)
- Knowledge of proper security procedures in a public relations/customer service atmosphere
- Knowledge of State and local laws applicable to the Casino
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
