As an Auto Detailer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every vehicle on our lot and in our service department meets the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Job Description: As an Auto Detailer, your primary responsibility will be to clean and maintain vehicles both inside and out, preparing them for customer delivery, display, and service. Attention to detail is key in this role, as you will be responsible for enhancing the appearance and value of our vehicles while providing an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exterior Cleaning: Wash, wax, and buff the exterior of vehicles to remove dirt, debris, and imperfections, ensuring the vehicle’s paint is in excellent condition.
- Interior Detailing: Clean, vacuum, and sanitize the interior of vehicles, including seats, carpets, dashboards, and door panels.
- Vehicle Preparation: Prepare new and used vehicles for customer delivery by ensuring all vehicles are showroom ready, which includes cleaning, detailing, and polishing as needed.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dealership's detailing area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Quality Control: Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and provide additional touch-ups as necessary to meet dealership standards.
- Customer Focus: Assist with customer vehicle detailing requests, ensuring that all work is completed to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Minor Repairs: Address minor scuffs or imperfections in the interior or exterior of vehicles when necessary (such as removing stains, buffing scratches, or cleaning upholstery).
- Other Duties: Assist in maintaining inventory of detailing products and report any shortages to the service department or management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an auto detailer or in a similar role preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for automotive care.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
