Summary:
The Coordinator of the Casper College Testing Center provides leadership for testing services to CC students, faculty, staff, and community residents. The Coordinator actively manages all testing center operations, maintains secure testing environments, and maintains confidentiality, integrity, and security for tests and other assessments.
Responsibilities:
This position supervises all Testing Center staff, manages all aspects of Testing Center operations, coordinates with Casper College departments, faculty, and students, and tracks community needs. This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Essential Duties
Ensure the Testing Center adheres to the National College Testing Association Professional Standards and Guidelines.
- Order, schedule, and administer tests.
- Train and mentor the Testing Center Specialist and part-time proctors.
- Maintain the security of all tests, test information, and the intellectual property of all associate testing companies.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and records, adhering to college, FERPA and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate all financial matters within the testing center including invoicing vendors, reconciling budgets, tracking tests and payments, and purchasing materials.
- Assists with compiling and submitting BOCES Grant applications to ensure continuous support for the applicable programs.
- Maintain and collate data to monitor best practices and support planning.
- Securely maintain archives of test information according to company requirements.
- Maintain electronic documents related to testing processes to ensure consistent test administration by all involved.
- Stay current in best practices for testing services and implementing new practices when necessary.
- Recommend changes in Testing Center processes as new technology is developed or new business needs are identified.
- Serve as the point of contact between CC and external partners and between the Testing Center and other stakeholders across CC.
- Update and maintain Testing Center CC website pages.
- Track and report Testing Center Usage Data.
- Maintain National College Testing Association certification.
- Coordinate ACT testing on the ACT National Testing Dates.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in education, program coordination, administrative support, or similar
- Computer skills including MS Office and updating software
- Strong communication, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Experience leading a team
- Experience managing and interpreting data
- Strong organizational skills and experience creating and managing multiple schedules
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in education, business administration, or social sciences
- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in standardized test administration, such as ACT or SAT
- Knowledge of best practices in test administration and proctoring
- Management experience
- Ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze problems and make decisions
- Experience in a higher education setting and knowledge of general college practices and procedures
Supplemental Information
Typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Work is usually performed during the normal work day, however, occasional early morning, evening and weekend work may be required. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors traveling between campus buildings in various weather conditions.
Employee must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use computers, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required; less frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
