What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician- 12HR, Day Shift, 6AM position at Casper's Ice Cream?
Come join the Casper’s Ice Cream team as we produce our very own FatBoy Ice Cream novelties and other frozen treats! We are currently seeking applicants to join our quality control team! (And YES, we have weekly factory seconds giveaways for employees to take home and fill their freezers!)
Schedule
- Day Shift, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- 2-2-3 schedule
- Every other weekend off (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Every other week 36 or 48 hours ( =76 hours regular, 8 hours OT per pay check)
- Never work more than 3 days in a row
- BONUS: Monthly performance-based bonus potential of up to $300 per month during busy season (March – July)
Pay
- Pay starts at $18.50/hr. with potential to reach $24 for top performers!

- Data entry and record keeping of quality checks and food safety controls
- Oversee that all company policies and food safety practices are being followed
- Develop and improve food safety programs and policies including documentation review and verification
- ALLERGEN WARNING: This position may come in direct contact with peanuts and tree nuts, including skin contact with pieces, oils, and/or dust from grinding.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have 1 year of quality or food manufacturing experience
- Detailed in data collection, documentation, and record keeping
- Fluent reading and writing skills including basic technical document comprehension
- Basic math skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and general computer operations
- Able to follow detailed work instructions and procedures with precision and accuracy
- Interpersonal skills including effective communication, serving team members and resolving conflict
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability and good judgement in decision making
