JOB FUNCTIONS

The Low Voltage Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including but not limited to, security systems, fire alarms, audio/visual systems, telecommunications, and networking. This position requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients. The lead technician will work remotely completing low voltage system installations in the Waukesha/Milwaukee and surrounding areas

  • Installing various low voltage systems start to finish including setup, configuration, programming, testing and commissioning
  • Upon successful onboarding, you will receive system specific training in any necessary systems. All travel expenses to be paid by Caspian
  • Perform site walkthroughs, attend project kickoff and update meetings with project stakeholders either onsite or via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet etc.
  • Utilize the Contractor Foreman app to retrieve project documents, upload deliverables, view assigned tasks and project schedule
  • Complete training on other various systems and complete turn key installations as needed. This may include, but isn't limited to: Structured Cabling, Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Systems, Nurse Call, Wander Management, Infant/Patient Security, DAS, Paging, Intercom, Sound Masking, Audio/Visual, Fire Alarm
  • Low Voltage (TOPS) License a plus or willingness to obtain- Required for Fire Alarm, Burg, Access, and CCTV installation

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Knowledgeable in structured cabling and other advanced technologies
  • Experience with deploying, terminating, splicing and testing fiber optic cable
  • Current low voltage cabling code and industry standards knowledge
  • Communicates effectively and appropriately when dealing with other departments and/or personnel at levels up to President/CEO
  • Demonstrates the initiative and creativity for self-development within and outside of the company
  • Must be an effective problem solver, with the ability to analyze problems, propose reasonable solutions; make logical decisions, and carry out decisions made.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, along with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, permitting authorities, other employees of the organization, and vendors.
  • Ability to read blue prints, identify cabling pathways and comply with construction project specifications and BICSI standards.
  • Ability to accurately prepare project summary documentation including time sheets, daily logs, materials reconciliations, project summaries and any other pertinent information.
  • Supervise and train junior technicians and apprentices.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 3 years experience in the installation and service of one or more of the following: Structured Cabling, Video Surveillance, Access Control, Nurse Call.
  • 1 years experience in the installation and service of Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Seeking a self-starter with great initiative and drive, a willingness to learn new systems and take on complex technology projects
  • Must have basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook very helpful
  • Demonstrate good writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and act in a professional manner
  • Must work well with little to no supervision, both individually and in a team environment.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and out of state to complete projects for national clients as needed with prior notice. Travel expenses and daily M&I per diem paid for by Caspian

Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Salary commensurate with experience. Company vehicle will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
