Woodlands Behavioral Healthcare Network is in search of a volunteer to join their Recipient Rights Advisory Committee.
What you can expect:
The Recipient Rights Advisory Committee has been formed to act as an advisory group to the Office of Recipient Rights and the Chief Executive Officer. It is the mission of the committee to fulfill its obligations under the Michigan Mental Health Code, Section 330.1757.
The Recipient Rights Advisory Committee meets at least once a quarter but could meet more if needed. Members will receive a $40 stipend after attending meetings in-person and a $25 stipend if attending virtually due to a pre-existing medical condition.
How you will make an impact:
- Advise agency regarding treatment needs, suggestions
- Provide feedback on services, staff, environment
- Review Audits, Annual reports
- Review/Advise regarding grants/funding proposals
- Review/Participate in strategic planning process
- Plan community events
- Organize letter writing campaigns to legislatures
- Monitor timely investigation to ensure completion in stated time frame
- Hear Appeals
