The Clinical Educator supports the Director of Educational Services in constructing, implementing, and coordinating all aspects of the education program, including initiatives and services that create a professional practice environment that promotes excellence in patient care, ensuring that the education program aligns with the goals of Cass Health. This role will work with the Director of Educational Services to support the growth of our Nursing Apprenticeship Program. In this program, Cass Health is partnered with local community colleges to create an innovate way of providing nursing education. The apprenticeship program offers students the opportunity to gain their nursing education and on the job training all at Cass Health. This role will plan, coordinate, and implement nursing program education. Must be willing to teach in a variety of methodologies : face-to-face, on-line, hybrid, and video conferencing. This role will be responsible for delivering instruction to all levels of the nursing program classes including lecture, skills lab, and clinicals.

- Must enroll in master’s degree in nursing or education within 6 months of hire.

- LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :
- PALS, ACLS, BLS, & TNCC within one year of hire.
- Valid Drivers License

- Must have above-average people and customer service skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in the acute care setting.

EDUCATION : Required :
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field required.
Master's degree in nursing, education, or a related field.

This individual contributor role is expected to be a conceptual thinker capable of complex and independent decision-making in a multi-functional team environment.
Previous experience in nursing instruction.
Teaches classroom, skills lab sessions, clinical rotations, and simulation sessions.
Develops curriculum and manages assignment expectations and grading, support student recruitment and advising, and assess student learning.
Collaborates with Director of Education and staff in identifying, developing, implementing, evaluating, and expanding staff learning opportunities and / or skills development.
Aids departments in developing, maintaining, and providing educational programs in departments. Serves as a resource to assure that organization and department education programs are objective-based, appropriate for the target audience, and meet educational standards.
Partners with Human Resources and Clinical Leaders to identify, develop, and maintain workforce development and career pathway programs focused on growing the future healthcare workforce. This will be accomplished through clinical student experience programs, preceptorships, and registered apprenticeship program.
Initiate and manage simulation drills and mock code drills. Facilitate clinical competencies and general and nursing skills day.
