Cass Health is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for managing the biweekly payroll process, all related payroll functions, and full-cycle accounts payable. The ideal candidate will also support various accounting functions and collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Payroll and/or accounting experience in a business environment
- High attention to detail
Essential Job Functions:
- Process biweekly payroll accurately and on schedule
- Process accounts payable weekly, ensuring proper authorization and coding
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports
- Work with managers and vendors to verify invoice accuracy and payment status
- Assist HR and Finance teams with benefits tracking, including short-term disability and health insurance claims
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, employees, department managers, and auditors in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure consistent application of personnel policies in payroll functions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
