Job Description:
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Retail Store Associate to join our team! This role involves assisting customers, managing transactions, and keeping our store organized and inviting. Experience with Canva and social media is a plus, for creating promotional materials and managing online content store related.
Job Overview:
As a Retail Store Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and helping maintain an organized, clean, and efficient store providing an easy shopping experience for the customer. This is a physical position requiring you to be on your feet for most of the shift, where your key responsibilities will include greeting, providing customer assistance, checking customers out, stocking items in between, as well as maintaining cleanliness by taking out garbage, vacuuming, dusting and polishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide exceptional service
- Assist customers with product selections and answer questions about our kitchenware
- Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately
- Maintain store cleanliness and organize displays to enhance the shopping experience
- Restock shelves and assist with inventory management
- Resolve a daily task list specific to opening, closing and during store hours.
- Support marketing efforts by creating Canva designs, social media posts, or in-store promotions
- Other tasks as assigned to support the store and team
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of Canva and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) is a plus
- Passion for kitchenware, cooking, or home essentials is a bonus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
