Cassell Vineyards is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Kitchen Staff member to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is essential to maintaining the high-quality food service that complements our winery’s atmosphere, events, and weddings. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and food preparation.
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Maintain high food quality standards and ensure consistency in presentation.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
- Develop and refine menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and pairing with wines.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with event planners to execute special dining experiences, including weddings and wine-pairing dinners.
- Willing to create specialty dishes for events
- would prefer experience with catering
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a professional kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during special events as needed.
